The Part of You That Still Believes in Your Dream

How whatever you wish for wishes for you.

Do you have a dream?

Is it an old dream or a new dream?

Whatever you dream, whatever you wish for, whatever you hope for, is embodied in The Innocent archetype.

The Innocent is the part of you that has total faith that your dream can come true.

We see The Innocent reflected throughout our culture, most obviously in children, but also in characters who are sometimes portrayed as naive.

Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz is a beautiful example.

She believes there’s no place like home. And ultimately she discovers that there really is no place like home. But she discovers this only after leaving it, entering another world and experiencing challenges that change her.

In many ways, Dorothy loses her innocence so that she can reclaim it at a deeper level.

And this is the journey of The Innocent.

It is a journey driven by faith. By positive expectation. By something inside the heart that says:

Whatever you wish for wishes for you.

Whatever you want from this world, this world wants you to have.

But anyone who has ever chased a dream knows that obstacles come. Disappointment comes. And life happens.

And this is how The Innocent matures.

The innocence we begin with may be based on very little real-world experience. It believes simply because it believes. It dreams simply because the dream is alive within us.

But bringing that dream into the world requires something more.

The Innocent must stay alive.

Even when confronted by the psychological shadows that inevitably appear along the way. In fact, those shadows can ultimately empower The Innocent, taking her faith to another level of manifesting, creativity and the ability to function in what some might call the 3D world.

Because The Innocent is very much 5D.

Perhaps even 10D.

She is otherworldly.

And it is precisely that other world she inhabits that pulls us forward through the mud, dirt, grind and grime of this one. Connecting with The Innocent within, then, is far from a naive act. It may be something worth doing every day.

Remember your dream.

Remember the dreams you had as a child.

Remember what you wished for before you had any concept that your wish might not come true.

Because The Innocent within you still believes in your wish. She still believes in your dream. And The Innocent can help you practise positive expectation every single day.

The sun is going to rise.

The sun is going to rise.

Look at that.

The sun rose again.

The Innocent was right!

And she can collect evidence like this everywhere.

Evidence that there is still goodness. Evidence that there is still possibility. Evidence that there is extraordinary beauty in this world, almost everywhere you look.

And when you do see something confronting, something painful or something that challenges your faith, you can choose where you place your attention while knowing your eyes are wide open now.

This is The Empowered Innocent.

She has experienced the world.

She has been disappointed.

She has seen things she would rather not have seen.

And she chooses to keep expecting something wonderful anyway.

That doesn’t make her naive.

It makes her powerful.

The Innocent is your friend.

The Innocent is your inspiration.

The Innocent is the keeper of your dreams.

And The Innocent is you.

PS. Your dream does not require you to remain naive. It requires The Innocent within you to stay alive. What dream would you begin believing in again if you knew The Innocent within you had never stopped believing, and has complete faith whatever you wish for wishes for you still?
