Your Word as Law – The 10 Rules of Empowered Speech

Trust You!

Do you ever tell yourself you’ll do something you don’t?

Or worse, do you ever make a promise to another you break?

What is the result? Do you trust yourself less? Do you doubt yourself more?

Next time you make a promise to yourself why should you believe you?

When you break your word to yourself or another you weaken the power of your word. You weaken the trust you have in yourself, you weaken the trust others have in you, and you weaken the ability for you to create you life exactly how you choose.

Because the word is where it starts.

In the beginning was the word.

By establishing your word as law you affirm what you say matters. You affirm what you say has weight and meaning; you make your word strong.

And making your word law you establish authority over your ego, declaring the eternal part of you—your soul, the spirit within you and connecting you to all things—as the true guiding force of your sacred life.

“Words are like seeds. When you speak something out, you give life to what you’ve spoken.” — Bob Proctor

The 10 Rules of Empowered Speech

If you ever struggle with knowing how to keep your word, and make your word powerful, here are 10 simple rules of empowered speech, and how to live with your word as law:

1. Don’t make promises you won’t or can’t keep

Sounds easy, right? Do it, then. Start making your word law by only making promises you are 100% committed to seeing through.

2. Be honourable; know and do what is right (don’t lie)

You know what’s right…so do it. Right?

3. Become verbally disciplined; think before you speak

Take a breath too, if you need to. Take a couple breaths. You might even decide you don’t have to respond at all. When you think before you speak you show your ‘triggers’ who’s really boss. You are.

4. Become immaculate (precise) with your word

No fluff, no mess, no stuffin’ around. Your words can be as clean, concise and precisely ‘cut’ as you choose.

5. Don’t commit if you don’t have to

Free time is golden. The less you are committed to the less life has a hold on you and the more you can experience spontaneity and presence in every moment. Why lock yourself in if you don’t have to. And you don’t have to.

6. Don’t gossip or talk aimlessly

And if your friends are talking about your OTHER friends when they’re not around who are they talking about when YOU’RE not around?

7. Listen to others more than you talk about yourself

You’ve got two ears and one mouth. You know? Listening is its own form of communication; you say a lot by what you don’t say.

8. Speak with confidence without needing to boast

There’s nothing wrong with owning your worth, with acknowledging your own value—but learn to be balanced with it.

9. Don’t exaggerate; stay inside what is true and real

You can speak of your triumphs with humility. You can speak of your victory with respect to all who contributed. You can speak of what is true and real and leave the fearful dark imaginings to those who need them—because it isn’t you.

10. Be honest with yourself

Are you really looking for a job? Or are you giving yourself a much needed break? It’s okay, either way. Just don’t BS yourself. It’s only wasting your own time.

Empowered actions begin with your word. So too does your manifested life.

When you establish the practice of Your Word As Law you improve your ability to manifest anything you want in life. You know that when you come up with a thought or feeling and when you choose to focus on it and express it mentally or verbally, it is going to happen.

You are powerful, you materialise your consciousness.

Because your word is law.
